The Freedom to Choose Your Life

What I’ve learned is that you have the freedom to choose what you experience. Many of us are so caught up in reacting to present and past events, that we don’t have the awareness to control our thoughts, emotions, and ultimately our lives.

In the film ‘The Matrix’, the character is asked to choose between the blue pill and the red pill. If he takes the red pill, the true but ugly world is revealed. If he takes the blue pill, he continues to live in ignorance (the simulated world). You are taking the imaginary blue pill every day that you blame others, regret, complain, or procrastinate decisions. The funny thing is, like Neo in the film, you weren’t even aware you had a choice until someone showed you otherwise.

You always have a choice. If you choose to take the red pill here, this time it will reveal a world of beauty, where you are in the hot seat of control.
